Zhou Xiaobo
A Brief Introduction of MyselfCurrently, I am a Research Associate of the Paderborn Center for Parallel Computing, University of Paderborn, Germany, which is headed by Prof. Burkhard Monien. My research areas include Distributed/Parallel Systems, High Performance Multimedia Server Networks, VoD system, HiQoS, in particular, Scheduling & Load Balancing, Media Asset Mapping, Combinatorial Optimization, Resource Reservation. As a visiting guest, I am also a Ph.D candidate in Department of Computer Science & Technology, Nanjing University, China. I received my B.S. degree and M.E. degree in computer science both from Nanjing University in 1994 and 1997, respectively. From Sep 1994 to April 1999, I was a graduate research assistant of National Key Laboratory of Novel Software Technology at Nanjing University. My Ph.D supervisors are Prof. Xie Li and Prof. Sun Zhongxiu. My expected graduation date is May 2000. Some of my recent honors and awards at Nanjing University include the Great-Wall Fellowship(1994-1995), title of Excellent Graduate of Nanjing University(1996), National Excellent Graduate Fellowship(1995-1997), and Japan Fujistu Awards(1997-1999).
