Carleton students in Computer Science can join courses and research projects at Paderborn University's Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. The exchange agreement provides logistical support and the credits can be transferred.

Possibilities for a scholarship

The Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) has earmarked one scholarship for a Carleton University student to study in Germany. Carleton University will be nominating up to 4 students this fall. The Carleton internal deadline for applications will be September 15. There is also a DAAD scholarship for Ph.D. candidates to study in Germany between one and six months.

  2. Contact Dr. Rolf Wanka re. your research project and course selection at Paderborn.
  3. Contact Ms. Angelika Brebeck (brebeck@zv.uni-paderborn.de) of the Paderborn Akademisches Auslandsamt to arrange for
    • a letter of admission to obtain your German student visa from the German Embassy in Ottawa (visa requirements can be found here),
    • your Paderborn University student registration.

    The Akademisches Auslandsamt can also help you arrange accomodation in Paderborn.
