Apply to one or more of our partner sites for appointments between 4
and 8 months (shorter or longer appointments are also possible).
Applications should be compiled and submitted according to the instructions below. Informal enquiries may
be directed to the site
coordinators or the network
manager.
Appointed candidates will receive a grant or salary comparable to that
of researchers in similar positions at the hosting sites, with
additional funding to contribute to the costs of relocation. The
exact amount varies slightly depending on the hosting institution and
on the category (post-doctoral researcher or doctoral student) of
the candidate.
Requirements
for Candidates
The respective candidates
-
must not be older than 35 years at the
time of the appointment at the hosting institution;
-
must be a holder of a doctoral degree
or of a degree, obtained from a university or equivalent institution of
higher education, which qualifies them to embark on a doctoral degree;
-
must be a national of a Member State of
the European Community or of an Associated
State, or residing in the
European Community for at least five years prior to their appointment;
-
must not be a national of the state
where the visited research team is located and must not have carried
out their normal
activities in that state for more than 12 of the 24 months prior to
their appointment;
-
in the case of nationals of a third
country (neither member nor associated state, but residing in the
European Community for at least five years), they are not permitted to
move to a host country in which they were residing for more than two
years in the last five years immediately prior to the appointment date.
Instructions

Applications must include the following
information:

including email address;

educational achievements (including
dates, institutions and grade or class; the candidates must also state
explicitly to which category they belong, i.e., doctoral student or
post-doctoral researcher);

research experience, including a list
of publications;

an outline of the research activity
that the candidates intend to carry out at the host institution;

the SegraVis site to which the
candidates intend to apply;
please, indicate at least one further SegraVis site in the case the
first one has no availability;

desired length of the appointment;
-
desired starting date;
-
names and addresses of three referees
(including telephone
numbers and email addresses);
-
a declaration by the candidate stating
that he/she meets the above requirements.
